Program of Care

Zion Park Manor is a complex care facility and a long-time contract service provider for Fraser Health Authority.

The Manor is licensed under the Community Care and Assisted Living Act and follows the Residential Care Regulations. Zion Park Manor understands the importance of ensuring that we meet regulatory standards and routinely assesses programs, services and policy for compliance. The facility welcomes external auditors into the Manor and believes that audits are an important tool for improvement. For the last 3 years, the Manor has received the lowest possible risk rating on their annual licensing inspection.

As a complex care facility, the Manor provides a broad range of services:

  • Registered Nurses
  • Licensed Practical Nurses
  • Certified Care Aides
  • Activity and Recreational Services
  • Occupational Therapy
  • Dietitian Services
  • Pharmacy support
  • Pastoral Volunteer Services
  • Physiotherapy
  • Massage Therapy
  • Arts and Crafts Therapy
  • Music Therapy
  • Hairdressing and Esthetic services

The facility has an RN on duty 24 hours day, and employs LPNs and care aides to provide around the clock care. Activity staff work 7 days a week to ensure that elders’ recreational needs are met. Zion Park Manor has a full-time Executive Director, Director of Care and Director of Activities who ensure that services are designed to meet elders’ needs in terms of content, hours and flexibility. Volunteers are actively involved in the day to day life of elders and form an important part of our elders’ home.

All food is cooked on-site and there is a focus on limiting the use of pre-prepared items. Many dishes are cooked from scratch.

The Manor recognizes its responsibility to interact with the community and facilitates the elders’ access to the community with:

  • Bible Study
  • Community Schools
  • High School Student Work Experience
  • Inter-facility Partnerships
  • Intergenerational Programs
  • Local Churches

Our staff are actively involved in networking with other facilities, and participating in health authority initiatives and committees in order to stay current and ensure we are providing the best care possible to our elders.
